About Phyco

Phyco is a catalogue of websites and online services across every topic, with reviews written by the people who used them. The question it tries to answer is the one you ask before signing up somewhere new: is this real, does it work, and what happens when something goes wrong.

What a listing contains

Facts first. What the service does, which category it belongs to, the language of the site, the country behind it where we can establish it, pricing model, platforms, and when the link was last checked. Then the part we do not write: reviews from people with confirmed accounts.

We do not write the reviews

Phyco does not post reviews of its own, does not buy them, and does not let anyone pay to have one removed. A new listing starts with no rating at all, and stays that way until somebody who used the service writes something. An empty review count is information too.

One account can leave one review per website, and the account needs a confirmed email address. The average score only appears once a listing has at least three reviews, because a single opinion is not an average.

Owners get a right of reply

Anyone who proves they control a website can claim its listing, keep the details accurate, and reply once to any review in public. Disagreements stay visible rather than getting quietly deleted.

What we keep out

Dead links, duplicate entries of the same site, pages built only to manipulate search engines, and adult content. Every listing is re-checked automatically, and a site that stops responding is removed after three failed checks and a warning to its owner.

How this is paid for

Advertising. Listing is free, verification is free, and no placement in the catalogue is for sale. Ads are labelled and separate from listings and reviews. If you think something here is wrong, write to us on the contact page and it gets fixed.
